The Story of Owl & Raven Book Co.

Owl & Raven Book Co. started with something simple: two people who love books… just not always the same books.

We’re a husband-and-wife team, parents to three boys, and when it comes to reading, we are almost complete opposites.

The Owl is drawn to romance, fantasy, emotional stories, beautiful worlds, and yes… she definitely doesn’t mind a little spice on the page. Okay, sometimes more than a little. She knows she’s not the only reader who loves a story with chemistry, tension, and a little extra heat.

The Raven tends to wander toward the darker side of the shelves — horror, mystery, suspense, strange worlds, and stories that make you wonder what might be hiding in the shadows.

And somehow, it works.

Owls and ravens are different creatures, too. An owl is quiet and observant, often associated with wisdom, intuition, and seeing what others may miss. A raven is clever, curious, bold, and drawn to discovery, mystery, and the unexpected.

They don’t move through the world in quite the same way, but they share something important: they pay attention.

That’s a lot like us as readers.

We can finish completely different books, sit down together, and still spend forever talking about the characters, the twists, the worlds, the endings, the romance, the scares, and all the things that made us yell, laugh, cry, blush, or immediately need the next book.

Somewhere between the Owl’s romantic and sometimes spicy worlds and the Raven’s darker ones, Owl & Raven Book Co. was born.

We wanted to create a place where readers didn’t have to fit into one box. A place for fantasy lovers, romance readers, spice lovers, horror fans, thriller addicts, cozy readers, young readers, and everyone who simply loves finding their next story.

Because our shelves may look different, but the reason we read is the same.

We love stories. We love talking about stories. And we love helping other readers find the ones they’ll carry with them long after the last page.
